Trace grabs the iPhone

Trace grabbed my iPhone and started clicking away on Sunday evening when everyone was over at our place eating pizza.

Is my hair getting that gray??

She's gonna hate that I put that one up. Oh and it was upside down on the camera.

Uncle Peter is very warm toned.

Nancy and her Mountin Dew.

Riley and Robyn.

Kasey enjoying the evening out.

Robyn, Riley and Holly.

And he some how changed all the background images on the phone too. Oh well.

Sunday with Nancy

On Sunday we had Nancy, Peter Robyn and Riley over for pizza in the backyard.
Nancy is so patient with our ever so slightly fussy little girl.

She's so good with all of them.

Peter mugging for the camera.

Ya know, none of us look alike but you can always tell we are related.

Uncle Peter get's pounced on on the trampoline.

The After Party

After the Hexter Howl it was off to Arlington to Riley's birthday party. Don't really have too many pictures from that. I was very tired at that point. Happy 1st birthday Riley!

Hexter Howl pt. 2

The next part of the Hexter Howl is the Carnival. Great fun! Inflatables, games, all kinds of fun. They even had a bunch of all kid rock bands playing this year. Very cool. They were bands from a school of rock called Zound Sounds.

Benjamin climbing up one of the inflatable slides.

And coming down the other side.

Ben played probablly every game there. He was pretty good too.

They had an "upscale" petting zoo. Still not too sure what that means. It was on their sign.

Trace and some of den 6 manning the Pack 862 baked goods booth. I don't have many pictures of Trace at the Howl. It's his turf and he just kind of runs off and does his own thing. He had a blast.

Near the end Ben was getting a little tired as he got a bat painted on his face.

Hexter Howl pt. 1a

After the race Trace had a soccer game to play.

The Hexter Howl part I

Last Saturday it was time for the annual Hexter Howl. A huge event for our elementary school.

1st part of the Howl is the 5k and of course then the 1k for us slower types.
Here's holly comming down the home stretch of the 5k.

Here she comes guys!

High Fives for everyone!

Kasey looking a little sleepy.

Kind of self-satisfied look don't ya think?

Nancy was in town visiting and got roped into attending the Howl and she did her first 1k! Even got a ribbon to prove it! Benjamin and Trace ran it all the way. Holly had to run it with Benjamin so I guess she did a 6k. Nancy, Kasey and I just kind of moseyed it. We did beat neck brace lady though.

Everyone loved Kaseys cool hat.

The Petting Zoo at the State Fair

Looks like a cow to me.

You can always find a hungry goat to feed.

Big Horned Sheep maybe? No, I think it was called a 3-horned sheep. Maybe 4-horned.

State Fair Rides

I used to love the Fun House rides as a kid.

A really intense rapids section on the log flume ride.

Trace goes down the big ol' slide.

Holly & Ben go down the big ol' slide.

Random State Fair Pictures

I don't really understand. Why at half time only?

Man I love the architecture at Fair Park.

Eating at the State Fair

Trace eats a corn dog.

Benjamin eats a corn dog.

Kasey eats her hand.

Up a Tree

SIT!

Ben and Kasey sit in the red chair. Easy stuff.

Kinda doing it on her own.

Sitting up all by herself! Briefly anyway. She kinda folds in half after a bit.

The New President of the Hexter PTA

Last night Holly presided over her 1st meeting of the Hexter PTA as it's new President.

I didn't get to see too much of it because Kasey had other ideas. What I did see was excellent. She did a great job.

A Little Light Yardwork

Had Peter's Company, Planted Earth Landscaping over last Saturday to dig out the playground.

It would get soggy and hold water too long after a rain.

Also had them cut down most of a tree in the front yard. I think wood peckers got a little too busy with it and killed it.
