Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

Trace, Benjamin and I got to take in a Ranger's game on Sunday.

Second row in the left field bleachers. Trace brought his glove and was ready for a home run.

Not a bad view. No home runs in our section though.

Fun time had by all. We had hot dogs, sodas, popcorn, icecream...

Ben got a little worn out.

Cub Scouts Bottle Rocket Launch

Last night on the Hexter blacktop was the annual Pack 862 Bottle Rocket Launch.

On hand to help us out was the world renowned, world famous German NASA Rocket Scientist Dr. Farfrompoopin. He was just back from being evacuated from Houston by Hurricane Ike.

I was helping out on the launch pad.

Check out the intense look on my face. What's up with that?

It got a little bit wet doing this. Oh, and it was "Talk like a Pirate day", so I wore my skull & crossed bones shirt.

Over and over again.

Benjamin and his friend Sonny were there to watch the rockets go up.

Den 6 watches the action with commentary from Abbot and Costello back there.

There goes Trace's rocket! Went pretty high too.

Trace with his rocket after a successful launch.

Trace and his buddy Julian with their rockets. Big fun was had by all!

The Refugee

Peter and I took our Huricane Gustov refugee, Cameron to a ballgame last night.

We had the good seats.

A little too good as it turns out as the usher asked us to.. uh.. leave.
